Summary0000561: Lift and added mass force to LPT so that bubbly flows can be calculated with lagrangian particle tracking.
DescriptionI have recently added Lift and added mass to the lagrangian particle tracking library. I was wondering if this can be added to the official release, perhaps in an improved way. The library and solver I have added now is added to this code. Some more information can be found here:

at the end of the post.

One improvement for instance could be to use the virtual mass also to with the DU/Dt term as well, but I don't know how to access this. For the rest the models seems to work already quite well.

Thanks for your code/comments

We have already developed a virtual mass force model that will be included in future releases, and will look to do the same for a lift force.

This functionality has now been added to the development line and will be available in future releases
