In the instructions: https://openfoam.org/download/windows/ There is a prominent notice: Note: If graphical applications fail on WSL, report it to Microsoft’s WSL project on GitHub. In particular, if ParaView fails, do not report the issue to its producer Kitware, as they do not officially support ParaView on WSL. For any problems with the instructions below, go to the OpenFOAM Issue Tracking system. Have you reported the issue to Microsoft’s WSL project on GitHub? If so, could you provide a link to the report. To help understand the limitations of WSL2, could you please provide details of the graphics hardware on your computer. |

Hi Chris, thank you for your prompt response. I managed to find a solution by using the following command: export LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 as per the following link: https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/issues/3730 My laptop has Intel UHD Graphics as the integrated graphic processor. |

That is great news that you have found a workaround which allows you to run ParaView of WSL2 with your graphics hardware. Many thanks for reporting the workaround, which has been added to a new "Known Issues and Fixes" section of the instructions: https://openfoam.org/download/windows/#issues |
