Summary | 0004049: Mapping solutions - Reusing stored solution
Description | I am facing this problem when regenerating the mesh and trying to map the solution or restore a solution saved in a backup directory. In reference to the example attached (dropbox link), run the simulation 100 iterations, as follows, sh run_all.sh Visualize the solution in Paraview; everything is ok. Now, regenerate the mesh, fluentMeshToFoam ./mesh/ascii.cas Visualize the solution again in Paraview, and you will get garbage. So basically, it appears that the connectivity is lost. This does not happen in OF10. So at this point, I have a problem with all backup solutions because each time I regenerate the mesh or try to map the solution, I get garbage.
Steps To Reproduce | Download the sample case at this link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/b351ff8rw66u3flw092h4/testcase.tar.gz?rlkey=bge3uywd8xzl93dnmthi3a4eh&dl=0 Go to the directory case1 and thype in the terminal: sh run_all.sh Visualize the solution in Paraview; everything is ok. Now, regenerate the mesh, fluentMeshToFoam ./mesh/ascii.cas Visualize the solution again in Paraview, and you will get garbage. So basically, it appears that the connectivity is lost. This does not happen in OF10.
