Summary | 0003011: InterFoam: weirOverflow different results in OF5 and OF6
Description | Dear Developer, I ran the weirOverflow tutorial in OF6 and OF5 and noticed some differences in the results. In the attached file there are the two screen captures that correspond to the time = 8 s in OF5 and OF6. In OF6 the water seems more attached to wall and in OF5 the water separates from the wall. Are there any differences in OF5 and OF6 that could explain these changes in behavior? Is the new behavior in OF6 more realistic?
Steps To Reproduce | Run the weirOverflow tutorial in OF5 and OF6 and compare the results.

I ran the case in OpenFOAM-dev, OpenFoam-6, OpenFOAM-5.x and OpenFOAM-4.x and get the same results in all 4 cases: the water is initially detached from the wall but by the end of the run is attached. |

Dear Henry, I ran the simulations in Windows running a Virtualbox machine. I will check my installation to see whats happening. Best regards, Paulo |
