Platform | Intel Sandy Bridge 64-bit | OS | Ubuntu and SLES | OS Version | 12.04 and 11sp1 |
Summary | 0000646: icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam crash in hopper tutorial
Description | icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam crashes when running the hopper tutorial. The hopperInitialState simulation runs fine, but when hopperEmptying runs, icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam crashes.
Steps To Reproduce | cp -r $FOAM_TUTORIALS/lagrangian/icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam/hopper ./ cd hopper ./Allrun
Additional Information | The bug is reproduced on both Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit, and a SLES 11sp1 system. On the first system OpenFOAM is compiled with GCC 4.6 and on the latter Intel 12.0.5 is used. Two different decomposition strategies have been performed, one with "simple" decomposition in 4 domains (as the tutorial default) and one with "scotch" in 16 domains. Both decompositions result in the same error. OpenFOAM 2.1.0 is not affected by this bug (i.e. the hopper tutorial works fine).
