Try running this command: wget http://dl.openfoam.org/ubuntu/dists/trusty/main/binary-i386/Packages if it fails to download the file "Packages", then that means that your virtual machine is unable to access the Internet and therefore it is not the OpenFOAM Foundation's fault. You can also try opening the link directly in Firefox from within your virtual machine: http://dl.openfoam.org/ubuntu/dists/trusty/main/binary-i386/Packages |
