Summary0002564: solve the volume fraction equation in reactingTwoPhaseEulerFoam (OpenFOAM 3.0.1)
DescriptionFor reacting two phase problems, there are mass transfer between phases. Therefore, the source or sink terms are present in the continuity equation. For my understanding, this continuity equation will be used to solve the phasic volume fraction. In the current implementation, volume fraction is solved through fluid.solve(). However, in this function, I did not see any places including these source or sink terms to the governing equation for the volume fraction. Is this a bug?

Please upgrade to OpenFOAM-dev which includes many developments to reactingTwoPhaseEulerFoam.

Dear Henry,

Thank you for your reply. Also appreciate the excellent development work for the OpenFOAM team. I comapred these two versions of reactingTwoPhaseEulerFoam in OF-3.0.1 and OF-dev. But could you please tell me which part of the code in the OF-dev includes the source term of mass source term in the alpha equation, i.e. in fluid.solve()? Thank you so much!
